Garden Invader Day 5

The peacefulness of any garden only survives with the Gardener bringing in big power equipment in the late Winter and early Spring. The purpose of the dig-up is to rid the soil of invaders before the weeds can establish roots that could produce an underground takeover. This is very frightening to most of the plants and especially the Little Bush. She had heard several reports from the other flowers about a great rebellion and how the Head Weed had spread his seeds among the Gardner’s special flowers. Since that day, every flower belonging to the Gardner had a special mark on its root to assure identification by the Gardner. The other purpose of the power equipment is to blow fresh breath into the foundation soil to give the flower’s roots “wiggly room” to be fruitful, multiply, and subdue the boundaries of the garden. We all have invaders of the body snatchers that come into our lives and absolute trust that the Gardner knows full well how to rid the garden of those pesky little bugs is imperative. This is a total trust issue we all must face in our limited time in the garden. Little Bush surrendered her roots to the power of the Gardener so only the confidence in His words would absorb into her root system and make her strong.
